Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Owner position is based in Lucknow and carries responsibility for the overall running of the business each day. Core Duties

• Oversee stitching and alteration work to ensure smooth daily output.
• Track fabrics, garments, and other stock, and keep inventory levels under control.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for materials and business needs.
• Check the quality of finished products and ensure standards are consistently met.
• Welcome customers, take measurements, record orders, and handle service-related queries.
• Address customer concerns and help maintain a dependable service experience.
• Guide and support team members so work is completed consistently and on time.
• Manage basic financial activities, monitor sales, and keep an eye on business performance.
• Plan local promotions and look for practical ways to expand the business.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace while protecting the brand’s reputation.

Required Background

• Hands-on knowledge of tailoring, garment making, or apparel retail, including fabrics, measurements, and fitting work.
• Ability to manage operations such as stock control, supplier follow-up, and basic financial review.
• Strong customer service and communication skills for dealing with clients and staff professionally.
• Capability in sales and local marketing, including promotion and visual presentation of products and services.
• Good planning and time-management skills for coordinating multiple orders, deadlines, and schedules.
• Comfort leading a small team, assigning work, and fostering a positive, non-discriminatory environment.
• Ease with phones or simple digital tools for notes, order tracking, and communication.
• Previous experience running or helping run a small business is helpful; education in textiles, fashion, or business is a plus but not mandatory.
