Job Overview
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Athlone, County Westmeath and neighboring areas. You will be integrated into our Retinal Technicians team, performing specialized eye photography to detect retinal damage related to diabetic complications. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals entering healthcare or professionals seeking to broaden their expertise in diabetic retinopathy screening.
Team and Support
You will collaborate with Senior Diabetic Retinal Technicians and Team Leaders as part of a national initiative, receiving comprehensive support from administrative staff, programme managers, and clinical leads. Our team members are experts or are actively developing expertise in retinal health, ensuring robust guidance throughout your role.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience is not mandatory.
- Possession of a full, clean Irish driver’s license with a secure location to store the company vehicle.
- Strong commitment to customer care with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for patients.
- Proficiency in IT, including word processing, spreadsheets, and routine Microsoft Office use.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks effectively, and employ problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive work ethic and the capacity to operate largely independently following initial training.
- Excellent communication skills suitable for diverse professional interactions.
