Role overview
This position supports safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing activities while helping the site deliver strong results in safety, quality, service, and cost. The role combines technical know-how, day-to-day operational direction, and hands-on support to keep production running to Ecolab standards, policies, and procedures.
The operator also helps build a culture of continuous improvement, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and a Zero Incident Mindset, while contributing to team engagement, capability growth, and overall operational performance.
Safety, health, and environment
- Promote a Goal Zero, safety-first environment by spotting risks early and taking steps to reduce them.
- Set the standard for following SHE requirements, procedures, and regulatory rules.
- Carry out regular safety checks and take part in Behavioral-Based Safety activities.
- Promptly report and support investigation of incidents, near misses, unsafe situations, and environmental observations.
- Ensure correct use of PPE, machine guards, and operational safeguards.
- Take part in risk assessments, safety audits, emergency response actions, and closure of corrective actions.
- Encourage employees to raise hazards and suggest safety improvements.
Production operations
- Run mixing, filling, packaging, and related manufacturing equipment according to SOPs.
- Carry out production work safely, efficiently, and in line with Ecolab quality expectations.
- Track process settings and equipment performance to maintain consistent quality and output.
- Handle start-up, shutdown, and shift handover tasks to keep operations continuous.
- Assist with changeovers while reducing downtime and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Move raw materials and production parts using approved handling equipment, including forklifts where certified.
- Escalate equipment issues, process abnormalities, and quality concerns through the right channels.
Quality and compliance
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), product specifications, quality standards, and documented procedures.
- Support Right First Time manufacturing and ongoing quality improvement efforts.
- Contribute to internal audits, compliance reviews, and quality investigations.
- Keep production records and documentation accurate and aligned with Ecolab requirements.
- Assist with corrective and preventive actions to remove repeat quality or operational issues.
Continuous improvement and TPM
- Take part in TPM pillars, Kaizen activities, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Help maintain strong workplace organization through 5S practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Participate in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving.
- Support efforts that increase productivity, cut waste, and strengthen manufacturing performance.
Leadership and team development
- Act as a role model for Ecolab values and leadership behaviors.
- Support onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires and contract workers.
- Share technical knowledge and effective practices with teammates.
- Provide daily coaching and guidance to operators in the production area.
- Build collaboration, engagement, and accountability across shifts and functions.
Operational excellence
- Help meet production schedules, customer service expectations, and business goals.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate minor troubleshooting and first-line maintenance.
- Keep work areas inspection-ready through strong housekeeping and discipline.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to improve performance.
- Take on other tasks and projects assigned by management to support business priorities.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma, vocational school diploma, or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Shows strong learning agility and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth.
- Has solid communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
- Can demonstrate Ecolab leadership behaviors, accountability, and ownership in daily work.
- Is flexible, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Has good knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, production operations, and product applications.
- Forklift certification and hands-on material handling experience are preferred where applicable.
