Operations Manager

About the Role

Mighty Kids Supplements, a UK-based company established in 2023 and generating more than 5 million in annual revenue, is recruiting an Operations Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of its newly launched distribution centre in Limerick, Ireland. This hands-on managerial position involves overseeing warehouse efficiency, team leadership, stock accuracy, health and safety protocols, and serving as the key administrative contact for the Irish subsidiary.

The role requires close cooperation with the UK headquarters and external advisors to maintain operational effectiveness and compliance with Irish legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities to maintain exceptional efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee receipt of goods, storage management, inventory control, order processing, and dispatch.
• Track critical warehouse performance indicators such as productivity, order and stock accuracy, and shipping performance.
• Drive continuous process improvements within warehouse operations.
• Ensure upkeep and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Recruit, train, and manage warehouse personnel, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
• Promote a culture centred on safety, positivity, and high performance.
• Guarantee adherence to Irish health and safety laws and company quality standards.
• Maintain all warehouse operational documentation and coordinate risk assessments with follow-up actions.
• Serve as the primary contact for administrative matters, liaising with accountants, payroll services, banks, insurers, utility providers, and government bodies.
• Manage company compliance including registrations, licensing, statutory communication, and accurate documentation.
• Support financial management including budgeting, procurement, supplier relationships, and provide reporting to senior management.
• Work in close alignment with the UK leadership team on operational objectives, inventory planning, stock transfers, and new system implementations.
• Identify operational risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven background managing warehouse or distribution operations.
• Experience in leading, training, and developing teams.
• Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with warehouse management software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Capability to multitask and handle fast-paced work demands.
• Legal eligibility to work in Ireland is required.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment or subscription business environments.
• Experience applying lean processes or operational enhancements.
• Knowledge of inventory management metrics and warehouse KPIs.
• Interaction with external finance, payroll, and regulatory entities.
• Forklift operating certification or readiness to obtain it.
