Job Summary

The Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting strategic sourcing, cost control, supply chain continuity, and day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure a reliable and cost-efficient product supply. This position acts as a central point of contact connecting contract manufacturers, suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams, maintaining Just-in-Time inventory practices while advancing operational efficiency and margin enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate price adjustments, minimum order quantities, and commercial terms with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
  • Audit supplier invoices to identify pricing inconsistencies and uphold correct cost allocation and billing methods.
  • Maintain and analyze product cost models and margin data to detect risks and support profitability assessments.
  • Evaluate product margins and advise management on underperforming SKUs.
  • Identify, assess, and onboard backup CMOs, suppliers, and alternative raw materials to mitigate supply risks.
  • Coordinate product testing, documentation, certificate approvals (COAs), and processes for alternative suppliers and materials.
  • Source and appraise quotations from multiple partners for new product development and launches.
  • Support vendor performance assessments and contribute to continuous process improvement across the supply chain.
  • Manage CMO production schedules, order timelines, and inventory to maintain Just-in-Time levels and avoid stock shortages.
  • Conduct daily follow-ups on purchase orders, handling production updates and resolving delays.
  • Serve as the primary operations contact for CMOs regarding quality issues, artwork, packaging, and invoice inquiries.
  • Negotiate competitive freight and transportation rates with 3PL providers.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of raw materials, labels, components, cartons, and finished goods.
  • Perform ERP transactions such as receiving, inventory reconciliation, tracking material consumption, and updating production records.
  • Monitor label and packaging orders ensuring timely approval, artwork changes, and design reviews.
  • Support inventory accuracy via cycle counting, physical stock assessments, and weekly operational audits.
  • Collaborate with QA, product development, finance, regulatory, and supply chain departments to sustain product availability and meet operational goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, inventory tracking, and vendor performance.
  • Create reporting and tracking tools to increase transparency in production schedules, inventory status, costs, and supplier metrics.
  • Participate in special projects to optimize sourcing, ensure supply continuity, achieve cost savings, and scale operations effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in sourcing, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing operations, or inventory management.
