Role Overview
Carden Park Hotel invites applications for the position of Night Porter. This is a permanent full-time role, working 32 to 40 hours per week across 4 to 5 night shifts, including weekends, from 10:30pm to 7am. The annual salary is £26,800 plus service charge and extensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary guest service through the night, anticipating and addressing guest needs with professionalism and care.
- Manage efficient check-in and check-out operations during night hours.
- Promptly deliver room service orders with courtesy.
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and order of public areas to the hotel's high standards.
- Conduct regular security and safety inspections throughout the resort to ensure a secure environment for guests, visitors, and colleagues.
- Assist various hotel departments overnight to guarantee smooth operations.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests with confidence, creating memorable experiences at every opportunity.
- Operate the staff minibus on a rotational basis for late-night staff transportation.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a D1 category driving license is mandatory to operate the shuttle bus for staff drop-offs during late hours.
- Experience in hotel, hospitality, or customer service roles is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, adaptable, and proactive mindset.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Proficiency with computer systems.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Capability to work independently and take responsibility during overnight shifts.
- Dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences and maintaining top-tier service standards.
- Due to the hotel's rural setting, reliable personal transportation or vehicle access is essential.
