About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Night Cleaner to join our team at The Salt Room, a contemporary British seafood restaurant located in Brighton featuring stunning sea views and a focus on sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. The position entails working night shifts from 10pm until 5am or 6am. The Salt Room uses charcoal cooking techniques to deliver a memorable seafood dining experience, accompanied by a seasonal cocktail menu infused with earthy and maritime flavors.
Key Responsibilities
The Night Cleaner’s primary duty is to perform an extensive deep cleaning of all kitchen and back-of-house areas. This includes thorough sanitization of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, floors, walls, extraction systems, and storage areas to ensure compliance with the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness. The role ensures the kitchen is fully prepared and spotless for the next day’s operations.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Experience in night cleaning with a strong understanding of deep cleaning procedures.
- Self-driven, natural team player who can thrive in high-pressure kitchen environments.
- Professional conduct and ability to maintain composure under stress.
