Midday Cleaner

Overview

Join Velociti Services as a Midday Cleaner, an essential member of our frontline team providing commercial cleaning at client locations in Topeka, KS. Your core duties involve a range of custodial tasks including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping, and waste disposal to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite position with working hours from 1:15 PM to 9:45 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and rules.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to complete work assignments.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly work environment.
• Follow company policies and procedures diligently.
• Listen to and act on supervisor or lead instructions.
• Maintain professional communication with supervisors, colleagues, managers, and customers.
• Provide coverage during staff shortages.
• Assist the shift lead in completing punch-list tasks.
• Utilize proper personal protective equipment at all times.
• Demonstrate professionalism in appearance and behavior.
• Recognize the importance of customer service and customer satisfaction.
• Understand and use reporting systems and maintain environmental awareness.
• Build and instill trust within the team and with clients.
• Execute cleaning duties such as vacuuming, edging, dusting, restroom and breakroom cleaning and stocking, window cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, and mopping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Capability to bend, squat, stretch, and move parcels frequently.
• Comfortable climbing small to medium flights of stairs multiple times daily.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
