Role Overview
The Manager leads the development and smooth execution of initiatives within the Mental Health (MH) division, ensuring alignment with Montfort Care's objectives and community needs. Key responsibilities include managing performance targets and ensuring effective operation of mental health programmes.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement casework, groupwork, and community-based mental health activities following the MH service framework.
- Monitor progress and outcomes against key performance indicators (KPIs) specified in work plans.
- Create and execute outreach and publicity campaigns to encourage programme engagement.
- Identify participation obstacles and propose improvements to enhance programme effectiveness.
- Manage resource distribution for programme delivery efficiently.
- Provide regular supervision and workload management for staff, addressing administrative matters as needed.
- Facilitate team members’ professional growth through guidance, reflection support, and mentorship on best practices.
- Engage with colleagues and external partners to collect valuable insights and improve collaboration.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings involving team members, clients, and partners.
- Plan and implement community outreach events and roadshows, maintaining good relations with all involved parties.
- Forge and sustain partnerships with relevant agencies to ensure programme relevance and adequate resources.
- Periodically report on KPI status to the Reporting Officer and support financial tracking to keep expenditures within budget.
- Ensure timely achievement of funding-agency requirements related to KPIs.
- Assist the Reporting Officer by preparing necessary data and reports.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a degree or post-graduate diploma in social work, counselling, or psychology.
- At least six years of relevant experience in social services, mental health, or healthcare, including a minimum of three years clinical experience specifically with mental health or dementia clients.
- Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.
Competencies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude, able to interpret data rapidly and formulate sound decisions and recommendations.
- Knowledge of social service practices, and programme design, planning, and implementation.
