Position Overview
The Media Planning Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the creation and execution of digital media plans designed to connect life sciences brands effectively with healthcare audiences. This position works closely alongside Planning, Media Operations, and Analytics teams to ensure campaigns are launched accurately and efficiently across channels. This role is ideal for individuals at the start of their media careers who possess strong attention to detail and are eager to develop expertise in media planning within a regulated, data-intensive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building media plans by gathering research, audience insights, and channel recommendations covering platforms such as search, display, video, email, and mobile.
- Create and update planning documentation, maintain budgets, and develop media flowcharts using Excel and internal planning tools.
- Work in tandem with Media Operations to facilitate campaign setup, trafficking, and pacing across various buying platforms.
- Support campaign performance tracking by extracting data and collaborating on summary reports with Analytics team members.
- Partner with Planning Specialists and Managers to ensure media plans align with client goals, project timelines, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Basic understanding of digital media planning concepts obtained through formal education, internships, or up to one year of relevant experience in media, marketing, advertising, or analytics.
- Proven proficiency in managing data, budgets, or reports with precision using spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail demonstrated via academic work, internships, or professional experiences involving financial tracking, reporting, or quality assurance.
- Experience collaborating with multiple teams or stakeholders on shared projects or assignments.
- Ability to document work clearly and adhere to established procedures in structured or regulated settings.
Preferred:
- Enthusiasm for integrating AI tools regularly into work processes.
- Familiarity or experience with media platforms, ad servers, or analytics tools such as Google Analytics, DSPs, or search engines through coursework or practical exposure.
- Knowledge of healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated sectors through education or previous roles.
- Experience assisting in campaign reporting, billing, or reconciliation activities.
- Motivation to pursue a long-term career path in media planning, strategy, or analytics within an agency setting.
Additional Details
This is a current open position at Klick based in Toronto. The annual salary range for this role is CAD 46,500 to 60,000, with the final offer determined by candidate’s location, skills, educational background, and work experience.
