Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Nawras Power Company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team at its Power Generation Plant in Eastern Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring optimum reliability, availability, and efficiency of mechanical equipment while adhering to stringent safety and operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for plant machinery.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain turbines, pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and other rotating equipment.
• Assist in planned outages, overhauls, inspections, and commissioning processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and propose corrective measures.
• Liaise with Operations teams to enhance plant reliability and reduce downtime.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, company guidelines, and engineering standards.
• Compile maintenance reports and maintain detailed technical records.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Operations & Maintenance in the Power Generation sector.
• Strong background in managing rotating equipment and plant mechanical systems.
• Knowledgeable in preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP PM.
• Effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
