Role Responsibilities

• Design structural elements for chassis, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
• Collaborate closely with Structural Analysts to refine and enhance mechanical systems.
• Create concept and detailed engineering designs that align with performance, weight, and cost objectives.
• Deliver CAD assemblies and comprehensive designs within set deadlines and budgets.
• Manage the release of parts and assemblies to Bills of Materials, ensuring accuracy and currency throughout project lifecycles.
• Consider the commercial implications of design choices affecting manufacturing and Bill of Materials expenses.
• Participate in design reviews and promote continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and internal teams to confirm that designs are manufacturable, robust, and meet program requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in a high-performance motorsport design setting.
• Proven track record designing chassis, suspension, steering, and braking assemblies and components.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Capable of collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams to bring concepts through to manufacture.
• Proficient in CAD software, with Siemens NX and Teamcenter experience considered advantageous.
• Ability to deliver superior engineering solutions in a demanding, championship-winning environment.
• Passionate about motorsport, innovation, and engineering excellence with ambitions to influence next-generation championship-winning rally and endurance vehicles.
