Role Overview

As Manager Strategy based at the Cologne headquarters, you will actively contribute to the transformation of DEUTZ AG by implementing strategic directives with a strong focus. You will be responsible for formulating innovative business strategies across divisional fields such as Defense, Energy, Engines, NewTech, and Service, ensuring long-term sustainable success.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic transformation of DEUTZ with dedicated focus and implementation.
• Develop innovative strategies for various business segments and geographic regions to secure sustained growth.
• Lead the conceptualization, execution, and operational management of cross-functional projects at company or Business Unit levels.
• Manage and successfully execute strategy-related, cross-departmental projects through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Conduct commercial evaluation of strategic options and prepare robust business plans and decision-making materials supporting partnerships and growth initiatives.
• Maintain effective, audience-targeted communication and oversee all aspects of the strategic transformation.
• Ensure ongoing dialogue with stakeholders and key influencers to embed transformation sustainably within the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, natural sciences, or engineering disciplines.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in strategy or corporate consulting, M&A, or transformation projects.
• Solid practical expertise in project management, including oversight and reporting, with strong knowledge of classical and agile methodologies.
• Preferably, well-developed methodological skills in strategy formulation, organizational development and growth, partnerships, and M&A activities.
• Strong team player with problem-solving mindset, analytical acumen, and high adaptability.
• Structured, service-oriented, and agile working style capable of effective, empathetic communication across all organizational levels, from employees to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Motivated by change, engaging with new challenges courageously and persistently.
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
