Manager / Senior Manager, Case Resolution

About the Role

Join the Centre for Online Safety as a Manager or Senior Manager in Case Resolution and contribute significantly to creating a secure and trustworthy digital environment in Singapore. This role centers on actively enhancing online safety by carefully addressing stakeholder concerns and public reports related to harmful online content.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively analyze and respond to reports and feedback from stakeholders about online content, ensuring a responsive and evolving approach to digital safety.
• Perform comprehensive and balanced evaluations of potentially harmful online materials and take prompt, appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders including industry partners and coordinate across government bodies to facilitate victim relief in cases involving harmful online materials.
• Participate in weekend on-call duties at least once per month, demonstrating commitment to maintaining a safe online environment for Singapore.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree or background in Humanities, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Mass Communications, or Legal Studies.
• Deep interest in online safety with a solid understanding of the operation of online platforms and digital services, such as social media networks and app stores.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in areas such as Public Policy, Online Content Regulation, Trust and Safety, Content Moderation, Horizon Scanning, or Strategic Foresight is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills along with strong interpersonal communication and writing abilities.

This position involves exposure to potentially distressing graphic content including subjects like minor safety, suicide and self-harm, violent extremism, and bullying. Candidates must have resilience and a proactive approach to self-care to manage the emotional challenges inherent in the role.
