Position Overview
We are seeking a Manager of Communications for a 16-month contract role based in Toronto, Ontario, working 35 hours per week onsite. This position is committed to guiding and advising on corporate communication strategies to enhance MS Canada's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on and implement best practices in corporate communications to promote the organization’s image.
- Develop and execute communication initiatives and projects influencing public perception.
- Manage media relations including inquiries, outreach, and logistical coordination.
- Collaborate with internal teams to craft messaging aligned with communication and public relations objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Proven success in managing communications, media relations, and public relations efforts supporting brand identity and image.
- Expertise in handling media relations activities such as inquiry facilitation and outreach planning.
- Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills, balancing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking with a diplomatic approach to challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and trustworthy relationships with colleagues, partners, and community members.
- Experience leading teams through direct management or project leadership including mentorship and feedback.
- Availability for occasional weekend/evening work and potential travel across Canada.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: CAD 75,000 to 80,000 annually.
