Role Summary

Mastercard’s Singapore team is hiring a Business Development Manager to support its real-time payments portfolio and help shape a better customer experience. This role suits someone who is curious, commercially minded, highly analytical, and motivated by solving complex problems with an entrepreneurial approach.

What You Will Do

• Own the activities for the assigned customer group and define the strategy for each customer while aligning all required resources.
• Translate customer needs into formal business requirements and work with global product teams to improve and expand product capabilities.
• Partner with existing customers on release planning, change management, query handling, and product roadmap discussions.
• Track product performance and key metrics, collect user feedback, and refine features to strengthen usability and security.
• Lead a high-visibility customer project that requires coordination across multiple internal teams and engagement with external customer stakeholders.
• Run effective meetings with customer teams and Mastercard leadership, focusing attention on the most important issues and opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships across customer functions such as product, portfolio/usage, fraud, marketing, operations, strategy, and IT to position Mastercard as a preferred strategic partner.
• Coordinate indirect support across Mastercard’s matrix organisation to ensure the customer group receives the resources needed for success.
• Serve as the custodian of the customer P&L, manage business agreements, make investment choices that support both near-term and long-term value, and help deliver net revenue goals.
• Handle administrative and operational matters for the target customer set and act as the main point of contact for all related activity.

What You Need

• A demonstrated background in strategic sales, product management, and client account management.
• Strong business judgment, conceptual thinking, financial understanding, and analytical ability.
• Capability to influence, build alignment, and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to operate well in a matrixed organisation.
• Self-awareness, openness to feedback, willingness to try different approaches, and the confidence to challenge the status quo.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• A track record of delivering revenue growth and share growth.
• The ability to execute independently in a fast-changing, less structured environment with strong planning and self-management.
• An undergraduate degree in business, computer science, or engineering is preferred.
