Job Overview
As the Manager Analytics & Forecasting at Mevotech, you will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager and take charge of developing and managing comprehensive supply, demand, and inventory forecasts for raw materials across various levels. Your role focuses on generating and assessing item-level statistical forecasts alongside managing event-driven product movements to enhance purchasing processes and ensure productive inventory control.
Primary Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage project launches, maintaining the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by formulating demand plans and supply forecasts across multiple aggregation layers and timeframes within inventory planning.
- Analyze historical sales and inventory data, identify demand influencers, prepare forecasting datasets, develop statistical forecast models, and perform forecast evaluations.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to reconcile significant deviations and update forecast models based on revised sales and origin assumptions.
- Collaborate closely with teams in Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service to understand key forecast drivers.
- Utilize and maintain supply and demand planning software/tools alongside Microsoft Excel as principal forecasting resources.
- Offer insights to the supply chain team for crafting inventory strategies tailored to existing products and new launches.
- Facilitate continuous communication and coordination between customer action plans and the supply chain organization.
- Develop statistical forecasts and coordinate, review, and communicate sales and demand plans to achieve operational consensus on demand forecasts.
- Contribute to volume planning and prepare as well as maintain essential reports linked to the demand planning procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Over five years of substantial experience in creating and sustaining Sales & Operations Planning processes.
- Minimum three years in leadership roles with responsibilities for managing direct teams.
- Proven success in supply, demand, and inventory planning management within similar roles.
- Technical expertise with advanced forecasting tools is essential.
- Excellent analytical capabilities are required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- The role requires a hybrid work setup: four days on-site and one day remote per week.
- Work is primarily office-based during standard business hours, with occasional extended hours to meet deadlines or urgent needs.
- Capacity to multitask effectively in a fast-changing environment is necessary.
- Minimal physical exertion is involved, mostly comprising sitting and computer-based office activities.
