Role Overview
The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment across various assets on site. This role requires strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve faults and the ability to work independently with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across site equipment.
- Efficiently diagnose and rectify faults by applying strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Collaborate autonomously with OEMs and external contractors during maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Advance a proactive and safety-focused culture by strictly following safe work practices.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, record, and track all preventive, reactive, and project work.
- Communicate with OEMs and suppliers to diagnose faults and procure necessary replacement parts.
- Support and engage in continuous improvement initiatives and trials.
- Complete all work safely and in compliance with quality standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments.
