Maintenance Engineer

Role Overview

Wills Consultants is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a full-time, permanent position based in Rathcoole, Dublin. This role involves ensuring equipment runs at peak performance and reliability across shifts including days, afternoons, nights, and one Sunday in every three weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and stand in for the Shift Manager as needed.
• Lead critical site shutdowns and represent the team in customer meetings.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to exacting standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or multidisciplinary technical faults.
• Perform technical inspections and foster ongoing improvement efforts.
• Guide and mentor technicians while instilling a safety-first culture.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members.

Candidate Profile

• Holds ONC/HNC or a full B-Tech qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with conveyors, sortation systems, cranes, robots, and PLC/control technologies.
• Proven leadership capabilities to coach and engage team members effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with CMMS/PPM methodologies and compliance with health and safety standards.
