Role Overview

The Club is seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to oversee the safety of patrons in and around the swimming pool area. Your key duty will be to ensure a secure and pleasant environment by enforcing pool rules, monitoring swimmer activities continuously, and promptly addressing any safety concerns.

Responsibilities include administering first aid, rescuing swimmers in distress, performing CPR or artificial respiration when necessary, managing pool capacity to ensure safety limits are not exceeded, and reporting health and safety issues to the Fitness & Wellbeing Manager. You will also assist in maintaining cleanliness of the pool area, related facilities, changing rooms, bathrooms, showers, and secure storage of personal belongings at day’s end. Proper use of safety equipment will be enforced throughout your shift.

Schedule

• The club operates seven days a week between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
• Shift patterns vary based on operational needs and include weekends and bank holidays.

Experience & Certifications

• Previous experience as a lifeguard is preferred.
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, or AED is mandatory.
• Holding the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is advantageous.
