Overview and Duties
The Lead Desk Clerk plays a critical role in managing guest reservations and room assignments based on availability, ensuring smooth check-ins and guest orientation regarding post facilities and equipment. Responsibilities include conducting guest interviews, completing registration forms, answering questions related to room use policies, issuing room keys, and handling billing and payments at checkout. The position also involves conducting on-the-job training for desk clerks, demonstrating proper work methods, providing guidance, and resolving routine issues.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must provide Direct Deposit information and a Social Security Card. Meeting the position’s eligibility, qualification, and background criteria is mandatory, and a probationary period of one year may apply. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) events. Physical demands include standing for long periods.
