Job Overview

The Landscape Executive role involves overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of various landscape elements within client properties including trees, shrubs, hedges, ground covers, turf, potted plants, green walls, climbers, green roofs, and water features. The role also includes managing Auto-drip irrigation systems and grow lights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance activities of all landscape components to ensure optimal health and appearance.
  • Respond promptly to feedback and execute necessary follow-up actions within established service level agreements under the Facilities Management Contract (FMC).
  • Manage incidents such as fallen trees or branches that could pose risk or damage; prepare and submit detailed incident reports accordingly.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with landscape contractors and independent arborists engaged for specialized work in landscape and arboriculture.
  • Prepare cost estimates, proposals, and contracts for any additional required works.
  • Keep clients updated on progress and pertinent matters as needed.
  • Assist in preparing monthly KPI presentations and management reports; participate in monthly KPI and any other client-requested meetings, both onsite and online.
  • Maintain the trees registration system using a mobile application under client guidance.
  • Utilize electronic Permit to Work (e-PTW) systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) effectively.
  • Ensure term contractors comply with established safe work procedures.
  • Coordinate with relevant governmental authorities such as the National Parks Board, NEA, LTA, and SLA to handle feedback and complaints related to horticultural and arboricultural issues.
  • Undertake any additional tasks assigned by supervisors or clients.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of ITC in Landscape Management, Landscape Design & Horticulture, WSQ Advanced Certificate in Landscape Supervision, or WSQ Diploma in Landscape Management.
  • Certified Practicing Horticulturist credentials are required.
  • ISA Certified Arborist certification is a beneficial addition.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience identifying early signs of plant and tree health deterioration or pest infestations, with capability to report concerns to certified arborists for expert evaluation.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in arboriculture and landscape management.
  • Strong technical expertise in horticulture maintenance practices.
  • Proven experience managing contractors and overseeing site operations.
