Kitchen Helper

Position Overview

We seek a committed and diligent Kitchen Helper to support our culinary operations in Picture Butte, Alberta. This role is essential in assisting with food prep, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring workflow efficiency to contribute positively to our guests' dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and cleaning equipment.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards to stay compliant with health regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members to fulfill service demands and cultivate a productive, positive environment.
• Show adaptability in performing various kitchen tasks as assigned by management.
• Support basic food prep activities like washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
• Assist with inventory control by tracking supplies and notifying staff when stocks are low.
• Help with plating and garnishing meals to ensure appealing presentation.

Requirements

• No formal education is mandatory; however, culinary experience or training is advantageous.
• Fundamental understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, team-focused kitchen setting.
• Strong dedication and eagerness to develop culinary skills.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical endurance to stand for long durations and lift moderate weights.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Work Details & Compensation

• Part-time employment offering 20 to 35 hours per week.
• Hourly wage ranges from $15.00 to $17.00.
• Shifts include daytime, evenings, and weekends.
