Role Overview

We are seeking a (Junior) Product Development Specialist for our Vital convenience vc GmbH facility in Erkelenz starting immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in executing product development tasks aligned with sales and customer strategies.
• Support coordination of ongoing development projects through to implementation.
• Contribute to building and maintaining understanding of customer and New Product Development (NPD) strategies.
• Participate in initiatives related to product development and launches, including equipment, manufacturing processes, or emerging technologies.
• Identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing products and processes.
• Collaborate closely with the product development team from concept to market launch.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation and client presentations.
• Independently conduct sensory evaluations of raw materials, intermediate products, and final goods, especially meat and meat products, to support development activities.
• Help ensure smooth internal approval and market launch procedures.
• Prepare, package, and dispatch product samples according to internal and external specifications.

Qualifications and Expectations

• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the capacity to work methodically and independently.
• Basic knowledge of technical processes involved in food production.
• Willingness to perform sensory assessments related to meat products.
• High reliability and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in product development is advantageous.
• Completed training or degree in food technology, nutrition science, microbiology, or a comparable field.
• Fluent written and spoken German skills.
