Role Overview

WB Games is seeking a Junior Narrative Designer to join the creative team behind Hogwarts Legacy. This role calls for a visionary storyteller with an intimate knowledge of the Wizarding World, who is passionate about crafting engaging interactive narratives. As part of a collaborative team of writers, designers, and directors, you will help weave compelling stories that intricately connect with gameplay.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and implement voice-over scripts reflecting player actions, choices, and engagement throughout the game.
• Create captivating quests, immersive dialogue, and rich storylines aligned with the project's vision and goals.
• Maintain coherence between narrative themes, story, and game mechanics.
• Ensure all narrative elements authentically represent the Wizarding World universe.
• Collaborate closely with writers, designers, and the game director to integrate story elements with game design, including character development, storyline beats, player choices, and emotional arcs.

Essential Qualifications

• A degree in a related or adjacent field is advantageous.
• Demonstrated excellence in writing and game design.
• Experience in interactive storytelling, narrative design, and game writing.
• Proven capability to develop new content within an established franchise while maintaining authenticity and tonal consistency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with standard game development workflows and processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse cultures and multiple time zones.
• Broad knowledge of games, film, literature, and television, paired with a passion for fantasy genres.
• Familiarity with the Wizarding World franchise is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using visual scripting tools such as Unreal Engine 5 Blueprints.
• Familiarity with dialogue authoring platforms like Articy.
