Job description
About Tech Pipeline
Tech Pipeline focuses on streamlining business operations by addressing data inconsistencies and workflow bottlenecks for enterprise clients. Currently, we are partnering with a prominent logistics organization in Dubai, with the goal of simplifying their internal procedures and ensuring their technology aligns with real-world needs.
Role Overview
As a Junior Business Analyst, your primary mission is to understand precisely how information flows within a business and to spot the root causes of operational blockages. Rather than creating broad conceptual analyses or decorative presentations, you'll dig into routing rules, identify reconciliation mismatches, and break down the true reasons for disconnects in approval chains or logs. This position offers an immersive, technical opportunity to analyze where processes diverge from expectations, especially for high-volume shipping and logistics data.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system logs to track down and resolve missing transactions or information gaps.
- Conduct interviews with frontline operators to document actual workflows and highlight deviations from official protocols.
- Pinpoint manual input points causing data inconsistencies or departmental reconciliation errors.
- Revise and update standard operating procedures to integrate new routing processes and technical fixes.
- Review system backlogs to classify and prioritize sources of operational delays or inefficiencies.
- Compare monthly reports across departments to determine where numbers diverge and clarify the source of discrepancies.
- Partner with technical colleagues to validate system adjustments in real-time during your first month on the job.
- Create step-by-step instructional materials enabling client teams to independently manage systems after project completion.
Candidate Profile
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and simply to non-technical stakeholders.
- Keen attention to detail for examining numerical data and system logs for subtle anomalies.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and performing basic data analyses to uncover recurring issues.
- Methodical problem solver who relies on direct evidence before recommending solutions.
- Capable of self-directed work in a remote setting, maintaining organization and meeting deadlines without close supervision.
- Strong investigative mindset to uncover the underlying rationale for existing processes and business rules.
- Persistent in questioning and uncovering the true source of problems instead of settling for quick fixes.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Basic knowledge of SQL or ability to use scripting for data extraction and text search.
- Background in customer service or operations, particularly involving complex enterprise software.
- Practical exposure to logistics, supply chain, or shipping domains through coursework, projects, or prior internships.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation tailored to the impact of resolving practical business challenges.
- An entirely remote position measured by results rather than logged desk time.
- Valuable exposure to real-world technical obstacles and operational intricacies in large-scale logistics environments.
- Close mentorship opportunities with experienced analysts who emphasize real-world facts over theoretical frameworks.
- Comprehensive onboarding dedicated to teaching you how to detect and resolve breakdowns in business systems.
Work Culture and Additional Information
At Tech Pipeline, unnecessary meetings are minimized in favor of concise weekly written updates and robust documentation, allowing uninterrupted focus on problem-solving. Candid communication, attention to precision, and forthright assessment of both failures and successes are valued. The end goal is to build sustainable systems our clients can self-manage, reducing their long-term reliance on consultants.
