Java/Python AWS Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Java/Python AWS Software Engineer to work in partnership with Barclays at our Pune location. This role involves developing and enhancing digital solutions using modern technologies to provide exceptional customer experiences. You will collaborate with engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to design and implement robust software that aligns with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and enhance large-scale applications leveraging Java, Spring Boot, React.js, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and maturity.
• Apply scaled agile methodologies to deliver scalable technology solutions.
• Ensure integration with various business, technical, and product systems.
• Design and build with AWS services including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, ELB, SNS, SQS, and IAM.
• Implement automation frameworks and Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Follow best practices for cloud architecture, security compliance, and secure coding.
• Use CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, or GitLab for efficient feature deployment.
• Employ scripting knowledge in Bash, Powershell, Python, or Java on Linux environments, with understanding of networking and firewall configurations.
• Stay current with technological advancements, fostering excellence and innovation within the technical community.
• Engage in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and collaborate to promote team success.

Candidate Profile & Skills

• Proven experience in Java, Python, AWS cloud services, and microservices design.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Hands-on expertise with automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with cloud architecture, security compliance, and continuous integration/deployment.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
