Role Overview

Belefonte is looking for Intermediate and Senior Accountants to join its expanding Sydney team in New South Wales. The role involves working closely with senior advisers while contributing to compliance, tax, accounting, and advisory projects. Over time, the position also offers exposure to broader advisory work such as financial planning and reporting, CFO advisory, business consulting, transactions, structuring, tax planning, and succession planning.

This opportunity is suited to someone who wants to build a career in public practice and grow into a trusted adviser for businesses and the families behind them.

You should be a driven accounting professional who enjoys client interaction and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. A willingness to learn and a genuine curiosity about how businesses operate will be important in this role.

Skills and Experience

• Solid grounding in accounting, including the preparation of financial statements.
• Practical knowledge of tax compliance and reporting requirements.
• Comfort using accounting platforms and common productivity software.
• Strong curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how things work.
• Clear communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain financial matters in simple terms and build professional rapport.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to juggle several deadlines in a busy practice.
• Background in public practice or business advisory work would be an advantage.
