Role Overview
The Interior Designer will take charge of leading and implementing design selections across multiple residential developments. This role entails transforming design visions into cohesive and feasible packages that cover interior finishes, exterior materials, and landscape ideas. Close collaboration with construction teams and suppliers to ensure streamlined execution is essential.
Primary Responsibilities
- Formulate unified interior and exterior design concepts that resonate with project objectives and market strategies.
- Choose and specify interior finishes such as flooring, tile, paint, and wall treatments.
- Determine exterior finishing elements including siding, trim, and color schemes.
- Select cabinetry materials and configurations along with surface materials like countertops and backsplashes.
- Pick lighting, plumbing fixtures, and hardware for doors, cabinets, and bath areas.
- Generate consistent color schemes and finish palettes to maintain design cohesion across various units and projects.
- Develop furniture layouts and carry out space planning as required.
- Create accent walls and feature design elements to enhance product uniqueness.
- Contribute to landscape design ideas aligned with project goals.
- Produce renderings, visualizations, and design boards for both internal use and client presentations.
- Prepare presentation documentation that clearly conveys design intentions.
- Collaborate closely with construction and project management teams to ensure design practicalities are met.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure materials and confirm specifications.
- Manage selections and ordering processes utilizing relevant procurement platforms and vendor systems.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in residential interior design, ideally with multifamily or infill projects.
- Proven portfolio showcasing design finish choices, comprehensive design packages, and completed projects.
- Proficiency with design and visualization software such as SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Lumion, or equivalents.
- Ability to generate presentation-quality renderings and visuals.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and practical build considerations.
- Capability to manage several projects and meet deadlines on time.
