Information Manager

Position Overview

AtkinsRéalis Business is in search of a seasoned Information Manager to join its Middle East delivery team. This role combines internal process advancements with robust support for project execution, demanding a focus on people, processes, and technology. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in project delivery, while also assisting project teams during proposals and project execution phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of data, information management, and BIM, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards.
• Possess solid engineering design knowledge to assist design teams with self and interdisciplinary coordination and quality assurance.
• Exhibit expert proficiency in BIM authoring platforms such as Autodesk and Bentley for the effective delivery of multidisciplinary projects.
• Demonstrate mastery of BIM federation and coordination tools like Revizto for clash detection/resolution, model walkthroughs, and issue tracking management.
• Administer Common Data Environments (CDEs) including Autodesk Forma and ProjectWise.
• Utilize data visualization tools like PowerBI and automation platforms such as Dynamo.
• Employ data management systems such as SmartSheet.
• Apply BIM uses including construction sequencing, quantity take-offs, and immersive technologies like virtual and augmented reality.
• Develop detailed technical documentation related to Information Management.
• Lead implementation, training, and adoption of Information Management tools from Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble, etc.
• Ensure efficient communication, coordination, and collaboration among stakeholders.
• Exercise strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

Job Duties

• Guarantee that digital content is generated, stored, shared, and utilized in line with the latest technologies and company standards.
• Create Information Management documents such as pre- and post-BEPs, federation strategies, Levels of Information Need, and responsibility matrices.
• Implement and enforce internal and external capability and capacity processes.
• Manage AtkinsRéalis' MIDP Online Tool and CDE (Autodesk Forma), supporting project teams in their use.
• Conduct multidisciplinary clash detection, categorization, and facilitate clash resolution assignments.
• Perform information management duties throughout project lifecycles, compliant with ISO 19650, whether AtkinsRéalis is Lead or an Appointed Party.
• Ensure delivery teams implement BIM execution plans, information exchange processes, self-disciplinary coordination workflows including clash matrices.
• Oversee technical and quality checking and reviewing workflows for deliverables using digital tools.
• Confirm adherence to file naming conventions and version control in compliance with ISO 19650.
• Monitor generation of Levels of Detail (LOD) and Levels of Information (LOI) in BIM models across project phases.
• Support audit teams in delivering Task Information Delivery Plans that meet client requirements.
• Participate in strategic global and regional digital initiatives.
• Champion global ISO certification and its maintenance for AtkinsRéalis.
• Assist Information Management Leads with various responsibilities.
• Provide expert advice on software and technology relevant to BIM workflows and project delivery.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a master's or bachelor's degree in architectural or civil engineering with over 8 years in the AEC sector and minimum 3 years in the Middle East.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in digital delivery of intricate, multidisciplinary projects focused on Information Management and BIM.
• Hold certifications in Information Management from recognized bodies such as BRE, Operam Academy, or RICS.
• Software certifications (e.g., Revizto, Revit, Civil3D) are advantageous.
