Role Summary

The Industrial Engineer will lead initiatives to enhance production processes, systems, and procedures across the organization. Key responsibilities include analyzing operations, collaborating with production teams to devise optimal workflows, boosting efficiency, and ensuring final products adhere to quality standards. This role is central to implementing manufacturing processes, automation, and equipment at PreCon's new Woodstock facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and improve production workflows and related systems to foster continuous improvement.
• Recommend and execute ongoing improvements in production and upstream processes.
• Keep abreast of advancements in production technology and advise management on necessary upgrades.
• Support the development and oversight of management control systems aimed at enhancing efficiency, minimizing waste, and reducing costs.
• Contribute to quality control improvements to tackle production quality issues.
• Perform workflow and time studies to maximize throughput, capacity, and staffing.
• Create and maintain key performance indicators related to production quality and efficiency.
• Develop process documentation and communicate efficiency assessments with operations teams.

Technical Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of production machinery, automation, processes, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, 3D Building Information Modeling software (e.g., Tekla Structures), and preferably experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning software.
• Previous exposure to precast concrete production through work or co-op is advantageous.
