The ICT4D Coordinator role is offered in one of Welthungerhilfe's Country Programs. The appointment begins as soon as possible with a two-year initial contract, potentially under national conditions if recruited locally. The position aims to enhance the organization's ICT4D competencies and steer digital transformation efforts to maximize programmatic impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior leadership with strategic and technical advice to harness digital transformation effectively for programmatic benefits.
- Oversee the identification, piloting, and scaling of digital tools (such as CommCare, RedRose, Power BI, Azure) to improve data quality, accountability, and informed decision-making across programs.
- Lead and coordinate the global ICT4D team to promote integration and collaboration on digital solutions throughout WHH’s programs.
- Help develop standardized methodologies for digital data collection, analysis, and reporting, including annual and impact reports.
- Enhance country and headquarters staff capabilities through targeted training, mentorship, and knowledge sharing regarding ICT4D systems.
- Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and governance while encouraging innovation in technology application.
- Foster lasting partnerships with internal stakeholders, technology providers, and peer organizations to facilitate learning and cooperation.
- Represent Welthungerhilfe in digital development and ICT4D forums and networks.
- Continuously monitor global trends in digital development for impact and provide actionable insights.
Candidate Profile
- Possess an advanced degree, preferably a Master’s, in data science, ICT4D, international development, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing digital data systems like CommCare, Power BI, RedRose, and Azure within ICT4D environments.
- Exhibit strong background in MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning), evidence-based program design, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experienced in advising senior management and participating actively in professional ICT4D networks.
- Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse, multicultural teams.
- Have firm knowledge of data protection, governance frameworks (including GDPR), and compliance standards.
- Possess a strategic and analytical approach with proven problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership experience managing teams, consultants, or complex partnerships is advantageous.
- Having a notable presence in ICT4D networks or representing organizations at digital development occasions is a plus.
- Experience in international development, especially in fragile or humanitarian contexts, and willingness to travel are considered assets.
- Be an advocate for utilizing data value within organizations and motivate teams to rely on analytical evidence for decisions.
- Fluent English is required; knowledge of French is a benefit.
