Housekeeping Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Housekeeping Assistant to become an essential part of our team at a luxurious retirement community. Inspired Villages is focused on developing vibrant, high-quality living spaces that enrich the daily lives of our residents.

In this position, you will be responsible for upholding the premium cleanliness standards expected by our residents, ensuring their private homes and our shared community rooms remain spotless, comfortable, and inviting. Your meticulous attention, dedication to quality, and friendly demeanor will contribute to creating a welcoming and homely atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas thoroughly, maintaining hygiene and tidiness to ensure welcoming spaces.
• Perform housekeeping responsibilities discreetly inside residents' homes with care and respect.
• Keep communal areas neat and well-presented at all times.
• Manage floor care tasks such as vacuuming, carpet shampooing, and polishing wood and furniture surfaces.
• Dispose of waste properly by emptying and relining bins following correct procedures.
• Clean reachable windows and glass surfaces effectively.
• Efficiently handle laundry duties upholding high standards.
• Comply with COSHH guidelines and maintain a safe work environment continuously.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated prior experience as a Housekeeping Assistant, Housekeeper, or Cleaner.
• Self-driven, approachable, and able to communicate clearly with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
• Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities and varying shift patterns.
• Basic knowledge of infection control, COSHH, and regulatory compliance is preferred; comprehensive training will be provided.
