Position Overview
We are seeking a committed and expert Group Finance Manager based in Dubai, UAE. This pivotal role supports the Group Financial Controller with monthly financial reporting, balance sheet analysis, budgeting, and oversight of the Group's audit and Annual Report processes. Additionally, the role leads the internal audit function and acts as a deputy to the Group Financial Controller during critical periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Support balance sheet review processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as the acting Group Financial Controller during the end-of-month financial closing activities.
- Contribute to the preparation and management of the budgeting process.
- Head the Group's internal audit function ensuring effective audits.
- Draft accounting-related documentation and papers.
- Prepare detailed reports and documents for the Audit Committee.
- Oversee and manage the Annual Report process from preparation through completion.
- Compile and present Half Year financial reports.
- Lead coordination and act as primary liaison for external auditors during the Year End Audit and Half Year Review.
- Ensure subsidiaries meet statutory audit deadlines promptly and accurately.
- Provide compliance and governance support as needed on an ad-hoc basis.
- Assist with onboarding new business entities and corporate development transitions.
- Support performance evaluation and professional development of finance team members.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrable expertise in financial reporting, consolidation, and strong knowledge of IFRS and SYSCOHADA standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of audit procedures and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP software and financial reporting systems.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication capabilities, both written and verbal, particularly in interacting with external auditors.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines involving reporting, auditing, and budgeting cycles.
- Possession of a professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or an equivalent accreditation.
- Educational background in Business, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Physical fitness sufficient to meet the job’s inherent requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
Experience
A minimum of five years’ experience in financial reporting, auditing, or a similar advanced finance role within group finance is required.
