About the Role
Join THE PIG-at Bridge Place, Canterbury as a Grounds Person to maintain the hotel's outdoor areas, supporting the Head Grounds Person in ensuring all grounds are well presented for guests. The role involves working 35 hours per week across five days, including weekends, at a rate of £12.71 per hour (£14.01 per hour with tronc included).
Responsibilities
The Grounds Person belongs to the grounds team, which handles lawns, trees, and formal border maintenance, collaborating closely with the kitchen garden team that manages productive garden areas. The grounds should maintain a natural, informal appearance without being overly designed. Daily interaction with guests is expected.
Requirements and Experience
Previous experience in a related groundskeeping role is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge and maintenance ability of garden machinery such as petrol strimmers and mowers, along with PA1 & PA6 certification or experience, is advantageous.
Working Schedule and Compensation
This part-time position requires 35 hours over five days weekly, including weekends. Compensation is £12.71 per hour, with an OTE of £14.01 including tronc.
