Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client, a well-established organization in the Financial Services sector, is actively looking for an experienced Financial Controller to manage financial operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and assist with strategic planning. This position demands strong analytical abilities, leadership qualities, and comprehensive knowledge of UAE financial legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily financial activities, ensuring all transactions are accurate and compliant.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Develop annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and generate forecast reports.
• Manage cash flow, maintain liquidity, and mitigate financial risks effectively.
• Coordinate both internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely submission of all necessary documentation.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE financial regulations, including VAT requirements and industry standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial procedures and overall operational efficiency.
• Lead and mentor accounting teams, fostering their professional growth and development.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess between 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the financial services domain.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are advantageous.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in ERP systems alongside advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Exhibit analytical skills capable of interpreting financial data to provide strategic business insights.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial records, reconciliations, and reports.
• Have excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Possess thorough knowledge of UAE-specific financial regulations, particularly VAT compliance and local accounting standards.
