Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join a thriving international manufacturing company based in County Meath, Ireland. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee the finance function across multiple locations, ensuring stringent financial control, precise reporting, and providing valuable commercial insights to support the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, group reporting, and perform detailed financial analysis.
- Oversee cash flow management, treasury functions, and working capital optimization to enhance business performance.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll administration, and general ledger operations.
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place while maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory regulations.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial planning processes.
- Supervise inventory management, product costing, margin analysis, and identify opportunities to enhance operational finance efficiency.
- Coordinate the year-end audit process and liaise effectively with external auditors and advisors.
- Implement finance systems improvements, optimize processes, and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Collaborate with operational and commercial departments to facilitate strategic decision-making.
Candidate Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is essential, with prior audit experience preferred.
- Demonstrable experience working in manufacturing or engineering settings.
- Proficiency in management reporting, financial control frameworks, budgeting, cash flow management, and costing methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory accounting practices, and managing multi-site operations is highly advantageous.
- Strong business acumen combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proactive leadership style with a passion for process improvement and team development.
