About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Financial Analyst at the entry or junior level to join our expanding team. This fully remote position based in Germany offers the chance to engage deeply with financial data and contribute to strategic business decisions.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze financial datasets including business performance and critical financial indicators.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Evaluate revenue, expenses, profits, cash flows, and overall financial health.
- Perform variance analyses by comparing actual outcomes with budgeted figures and projections.
- Create and maintain financial models and analytical instruments.
- Gather, organize, verify, and analyze finance and business information from multiple sources.
- Conduct scenario analyses and support financial planning to aid decision-making processes.
- Generate ad hoc financial analyses and reports upon request.
- Discover financial trends, potential risks, and opportunities, effectively communicating insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
- Support month-end closing and management reporting tasks as needed.
- Contribute to enhancements in financial reporting systems, modeling methods, and analytical techniques.
- Continuously learn and implement new financial tools, technologies, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Entry-level to junior experience with 0 to 3+ years in finance or internships accepted.
- Educational background or relevant expertise in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
- Solid grasp of fundamental financial concepts, financial statements, and analytical methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical and numerical aptitude.
- Skill in managing large datasets and interpreting trends and insights.
- Knowledge of financial reporting or business intelligence tools is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of SQL, Python, or data visualization tools is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
- Able to effectively communicate financial data to both technical and lay audiences.
- Competent working in a collaborative, remote team setup.
- Self-motivated, detail-conscious, and keen to grow professionally.
- Fluent in English.
- Must be based in Germany with legal authorization to work full-time.
