Fabricator

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for marking layouts for the fabrication of heavy structures such as masts, substructures, and mud systems.
• Perform cutting and beveling of materials including beams, tubing, channels, and angles using gas torches, applying knowledge of nozzle types.
• Grind bevels and edges to achieve the correct angles.
• Utilize various measurement tools like tapes, fabrication instruments, and weld gauges effectively.
• Verify the quantity and sizes of materials received from the preparation shop.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize the workplace ensuring safe material handling.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company safety protocols.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of fabrication experience in oil and gas projects.
• Experience in using various fabrication tools.
• High School education (10th grade pass) complemented with at least 3 years of hands-on fabricator experience.

Experience and Skills Required

• Basic technical knowledge related to materials and fabrication methodologies.
• Proficient in using measurement tools such as measuring tapes, levels, and weld gauges.
• Capability to operate manual cutting torches for steel plates, pipes, and structural steel.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Understanding of fundamental fabrication processes and principles including welding, cutting, pressing, gas/plasma cutting, and fit-up work.
