About the Role
Persistent is looking for an ETL Testing Engineer to join its team in Pune. This full-time role is suited to a professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in testing and quality assurance, especially in ETL and data warehouse environments.
What You Will Do
- Plan and execute testing activities for ETL and data warehouse solutions.
- Create test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test summary reports.
- Work closely with databases and SQL for validation and data checking.
- Use defect tracking platforms such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar tools.
- Apply Linux knowledge while supporting testing tasks.
Skills and Technical Background
- Strong understanding of ETL testing principles and QA practices.
- Practical experience in SQL and Linux.
- Working knowledge of data warehouse systems.
- Ability to manage defects and testing documentation effectively.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Experience with ETL testing in a data warehouse setup.
- DB and SQL experience is required.
- Experience in creating and maintaining test artefacts and reports.
- Familiarity with defect management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or equivalent platforms.
- Exposure to Linux.
Education
B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is preferred for applicants.
