English Language Expert - Remote Contract

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled English Language Expert to work as a remote contractor reviewing AI-generated English responses and creating expert language content. In this role, you will assess the quality of reasoning, identify errors in logic and methodology, and provide precise, actionable feedback. You will also fact-check information, produce clear explanations and model revisions that demonstrate correct approaches, and compare multiple AI-generated outputs to rate their correctness and reasoning. This opportunity is with a rapidly expanding AI Data Services company supporting top AI firms globally by improving their language models.

Note: There is currently no immediate project; however, qualified candidates will be among the first contacted for upcoming projects and gain access to future opportunities through our expert network.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or related disciplines.
• Exceptional command of English language at C1 minimum proficiency; C2 or native level preferred. Proficiency in at least one additional language is a significant advantage.
• Deep expertise in grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, and stylistic editing across multiple registers.
• Strong attention to detail with an ability to detect subtle meaning shifts, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and errors and explain revisions clearly in writing.
• Experience in applying style guides to maintain consistent tone, terminology, punctuation, and capitalization across diverse content.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, hourly contractor setting across various time zones while maintaining high-quality output.
• Preferred background includes AI data training or annotation, editorial quality assurance, localization quality assurance, or professional copyediting.
• Experience using AI tools such as Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar platforms is desirable.

Key Duties

• Create detailed prompts and responses across various topics to train AI models, ensuring comprehensive subject coverage.
• Evaluate and rank AI-generated outputs to improve model accuracy, fluency, and contextual relevance.
• Perform testing of AI models to uncover potential inaccuracies or biases, ensuring reliability and integrity of output.
