Engineering Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of cloud-native web applications with a focus on enterprise-grade microservices. This role involves driving Agile Scrum project execution, managing cross-functional communication, and fostering a high-performing team culture centered on meeting expectations and delivering value.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide the team in building cloud-native web applications and enterprise microservices architectures.
• Lead architecture design and assure timely delivery of projects within budget while meeting quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Architects, Operations, and Release Management to ensure the successful launch of projects aligned with business goals.
• Implement best coding practices and patterns to develop modular, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Work alongside designers, business analysts, and product managers to estimate and plan project efforts within Agile methodology.
• Define and own the Technical Roadmap and oversee end-to-end product delivery.
• Establish a performance-driven culture focused on delivering customer value and meeting commitments.
• Promote automation to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
• Cultivate and develop team members' skills and capabilities.
• Manage communication across departments and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout project delivery phases.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree with 12 to 15 years of pertinent experience, including at least 8 years in software development and 4 years in engineering management with Scrum team leadership.
• Proficiency in microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful services, using programming languages such as Java, Node.js, or Go.
• Hands-on experience in distributed or cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Google Cloud Platform).
• Familiarity with continuous integration, unit testing, static code analysis, and automated integration testing; continuous delivery experience is advantageous.
• Background in the eCommerce sector is considered beneficial.
• Strong practical expertise in design and coding, particularly with Java and J2EE technologies.
• Experience in developing web applications using Java and MVC frameworks.
• Managing the development and deployment of React Native, Android, and iOS mobile applications.
• Expertise in building systems for massive-scale performance and scalability.
• In-depth experience managing projects using Agile Scrum methodology.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
