About EpicureAI Labs
EpicureAI Labs is a DPIIT-recognized startup focused on creating agentic AI products for healthcare and workforce intelligence. The company prides itself on a small group of senior experts delivering production-ready solutions, not theoretical exercises or mockups.
Role Overview
As an Engineering Intern working directly with the CTO, you will develop multi-agent large language model systems that interpret complex documents, analyze structured data, and generate reliable, validated results protected by safety mechanisms. Your tasks will include building and testing agent pipelines, prompt engineering with robust assessment, implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) over specialized domain data, and designing safeguards to ensure accurate and secure agent outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and test workflows for LLM agents involving multiple chained steps, use of external tools, and managing errors or failures.
- Write and maintain Python codebases with frameworks like FastAPI to expose agent functionalities.
- Work with at least one agent or LLM framework, such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, integrating retrieval-augmented generation.
- Design and implement evaluation methods to verify the correctness of agent outputs beyond superficial checks.
Candidate Requirements
- Practical experience building LLM agents beyond simple API usage, including chaining operations and tool integrations.
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with FastAPI or similar technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of agent/LLM frameworks and RAG concepts.
- Ability to critically evaluate agent accuracy using solid evaluation techniques.
- Previous projects or internships delivering agent-based solutions (with proof of work such as project links).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience related to output validation, structured data extraction, or explainability methods like SHAP.
- Exposure to healthcare, clinical environments, or other high-risk data sectors.
- Competence in continuous integration/deployment, rigorous testing, and version control tools like Git.
Ideal Attributes
The ideal intern values collaborative work, welcomes constructive feedback, asks clarifying questions when facing challenges, documents solutions for team continuity, and maintains humility despite strong opinions.
Benefits
- Mentorship directly from the founding senior leadership.
- Ownership of meaningful features in live products.
- Opportunity for a pre-placement offer based on outstanding performance.
