Driver – Store & Material Movement

About the Role

Vortex Engineering Works India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dependable Driver to facilitate the smooth and secure transport of raw materials, finished products, tools, and documents across various company locations including suppliers, stores, and production departments. The role is situated in Dombivali East, Thane, Maharashtra, and is a full-time position reporting to the Store Manager or Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport raw materials, components, finished goods, and tools as directed, ensuring timely deliveries without unnecessary delays.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials on company and external vehicles, ensuring secure and damage-free handling.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections covering fuel, tires, brakes, and lights; maintain cleanliness and report any damages or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain all necessary documentation including delivery challans and material transfer records, securing proper acknowledgments for deliveries.
• Comply with company safety protocols, traffic regulations, and use personal protective equipment within factory and store areas.
• Transport materials to/from suppliers, customers, and different company locations as needed, ensuring materials are correctly handed over with proper documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: 10th pass (12th pass preferred).
• 2 to 5 years driving experience, ideally within manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics settings.
• Valid driving license applicable for company vehicles.
• Sound knowledge of local routes in Dombivali, Thane, Mumbai, and surrounding industrial areas.
• Basic competence in material handling, loading/unloading, and vehicle record keeping.
