Job Overview

K. Chandiram Ltd., operator of Bijoux, is looking for a dependable and professional Driver to facilitate transportation for executives and staff, complete deliveries and errands, and ensure upkeep of company vehicles. This role demands punctuality, good judgment, time management, and strict confidentiality.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport the Director, family, authorized personnel, and guests between residence, office, meetings, appointments, airport, and other assigned locations.
• Plan routes ahead, considering traffic and weather, to ensure timely arrivals.
• Provide employee transport to/from airports aligned with shift schedules and travel plans.
• Run personal and business errands for the Director, including collecting and delivering documents, parcels, gifts, and merchandise.
• Collect items from vendors, suppliers, offices, and other locations as directed.
• Offer support to store teams, assisting with deliveries, stock transfers, merchandise handling, and travel between company locations island-wide.
• Maintain assigned vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, safety, and roadworthiness through daily checks, servicing, repairs, and documentation compliance.
• Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel use, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality on all personal and business matters.
• Perform any other driving, delivery, or transportation duties as assigned by the Director or their representative.

• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.

• Physically capable of lifting and moving light to moderate items.

Working Conditions

• Full-time role requiring flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
• Occasional overtime may be necessary.
• Job involves extended driving periods, travel island-wide, deliveries, errands, store assistance, and occasional lifting.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid General Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
• At least three years of professional driving experience, preferably in corporate or retail settings.
• Secondary school education.
• Clean police record (Certificate of Character).
• References that can be verified.
• Ability to handle confidential documents and valuable items with integrity and discretion.
• Reliable, punctual, and courteous demeanor.
