Opportunity Overview

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser in one of our retail locations, playing a vital role in supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide safe and efficient pharmacy and healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe medicine supply, including tasks such as ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals at the store to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
• Offer advice and care regarding medicines to customers, referring pharmaceutical queries to the pharmacist when necessary.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee the safe and lawful dispensing of prescriptions.
• Stay informed of innovations and new procedures within the store to comply with operational standards.
• Assist patients in managing their prescriptions effectively, including facilitating repeat prescriptions and encouraging medication adherence to minimize waste.
• Engage with evolving dispensing technologies aimed at improving patient safety and increasing time available for patient care.

Requirements

• Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or an equivalent) or having completed the first year of an MPharm degree.
• Valid UK right to work documentation; this position does not support Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is advantageous.

Compensation and Location

The role offers an hourly pay starting at £13.92, with potential to earn up to £16.64 in certain London locations. This is an in-store position based in the UK; remote applications or candidates without verified UK work eligibility will not be processed.
