Dispatch Controller

About the Role

Become a key contributor to the smooth daily functioning of our depots by joining Kinetic as a Dispatch Controller. In this position, you will oversee and manage bus and driver movements to guarantee efficient, punctual, and customer-oriented services.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently coordinate the movements of buses and drivers to achieve service and network performance goals
• Ensure coverage of all scheduled duties and adapt swiftly to any last-minute changes
• Track and provide reports on depot departures, maintaining on-time run-outs
• Oversee driver timetables, manage leave requests, and ensure adherence to fatigue management policies
• Respond promptly to incidents and disruptions to support continuous operation
• Serve as the primary contact for drivers, offering guidance and operational assistance
• Manage accurate payroll processing concerning driver hours, including overtime and adjustments
• Support driver training initiatives and promote familiarity with routes

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience managing large teams within dynamic, fast-moving environments
• Excellent organizational skills paired with sharp problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and operational software systems
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team framework
• Strong communication skills, able to convey instructions clearly both face-to-face and via radio or phone
• Good understanding of safety standards and compliance in regulated settings
• Holds or is willing to obtain a Medium Rigid driver’s licence and relevant operational authority
