Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Position Overview

This role requires a team-oriented individual skilled in communication and customer service, able to work varied shifts including early mornings, nights, and weekends. Candidates should demonstrate eagerness to improve their culinary skills and thrive in fast-paced environments by managing tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, and equipment under culinary leadership guidance.
• Maintain compliance with culinary standards set by leadership.
• Monitor dishwashing machine temperatures to ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Immediately inform management about any equipment malfunctions.
• Receive and properly store kitchen supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment per schedule or leadership requests.
• Assist the culinary team with basic food preparation under supervision.
• Create a positive guest experience through quality work within the culinary team.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety standards.
• Work independently to complete daily tasks successfully and punctually.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Reliability and availability for all shifts including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
• Motivated to learn and improve skillset continuously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to prioritize and organize concurrent tasks efficiently.
• Self-disciplined with a genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Preferred: BC Food Safe Level 1 certification.
• Location: British Columbia, Canada.
