About the Role
Highland Hills, part of Trinity Health Senior Community, seeks a dedicated Dishwasher to contribute to providing excellent care and hospitality to residents. The position focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment to support high-quality meal services and protect residents from foodborne illnesses and cross-contamination.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the dishwashing and pot-sink areas before meal times.
- Clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils during service and return them to designated storage.
- Adhere to weekly cleaning routines for kitchen areas and equipment.
- Properly dispose of waste materials including trash, boxes, cans, and bottles.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, walk-in refrigerators, and dining area tiles.
- Clean and maintain floor mats.
- Implement strict sanitation protocols to maintain a safe dining space.
- Complete established closing procedures at the end of each day.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Physical capability to lift items weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Capacity to stand for long durations.
- Willingness to handle hot liquids, cleaning chemicals, and potentially contaminated materials while adhering to safety standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfort working in high-temperature environments.
