Role Overview
The Middle Office Administrator will primarily assist Brokers by capturing trade details, entering data promptly, and providing other required administrative support related to FX Forward trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter FX Forward trades accurately and promptly into front-end trade capture systems.
- Ensure all trades are delivered to clients through third-party electronic channels such as the Order Management System (OMS) when applicable.
- Manage delivery of trade confirmations to clients, via email or other avenues like ACS, and coordinate with clients or brokers to resolve any delivery issues.
- Address queries regarding non-delivery of electronic confirmations by liaising with third-party vendors and operations teams to amend trades as necessary.
- Maintain timely and precise trade entries into OMS.
- Monitor clearing and reporting activities related to errors or defaults.
- Verify incoming confirmations from third-party brokers or overseas branches against internal booking details.
- Cross-check agreement details against OMS rates and maintain a summarized brokerage list.
- Follow established middle office procedures diligently.
- Track client balances and promptly notify brokers and back-office teams when client rate caps are reached to enable adjustments.
- Support settlement processes by handling static data maintenance such as updating client details and adding new traders.
- Review exception brokerage reports and validate discrepancies.
- Participate in cross-training of new staff members.
- Maintain an up-to-date contact list.
- Prepare and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports for Commercial and Operational management as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a degree qualification.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Established track record of numerical accuracy.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interest in financial markets.
